THANK YOU TECH!!!!

First of all we want to send a huge thank you to Cindy Villegas and Stacey for their awesome visit to our campus yesterday! My students had a fantastic time learning all about Texas Tech University and the Human Science Department. They were thrilled that you took the time out to come see us and answer all of their questions!

Also, thank you to the others at Tech that have taken time out to answer our letters. We are so grateful for the goodies that we have received in the mail. Our classroom is decorated in Texas Tech colors and signs and we're all very excited. I for one couldn't be happier that my students are beginning to realize that college is a possibility for ALL of them.

Our class just started a new novel, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick. So far, I want to know what you all think about the novel. I know that you guys have been enjoying it very much. It is a fantastic book and I love reading it to you everyday. My challenge to you is to share with us what you like/dislike about it. BE SPECIFIC! Tell me about your favorite parts. Come up with challenge questions for the rest of the class. Describe your favorite character or scene.

TAKS

3rd grade just finished the first administration of the Reading TAKS test. We worked very hard and I couldn't be prouder of you guys for all of the effort you put in every single day! I am very lucky to have such a wonderful class! Thank you guys for making me laugh everyday and for being such dedicated learners!

Don't forget to bring your families to Open House tomorrow night (Thursday, March 12th 7:00-8:00 pm) and have a fantastic Spring Break. Try not to miss me too much!!! :)
